Thornbury's very own Ukulele group for all ages & abilities!

 

Whether you are an absolute beginner on the Ukulele you got for Christmas or you've been playing for years even when it wasn't the height of coolness... Ukulele Jam is for you!  We meet up on Thursday evenings at COSTA COFFEE, 6pm (£3) for children and young people (and parents!) and 6.30pm - 8.00pm (£3) for all ages.  Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, ability or music tastes!  The first 3 months of 2017 have seen us grow so quickly that we now relocate to Coffee#1 (also on Thornbury High Street) for the the last Thursday of each month (also 6pm - 8pm / £3 / but with no beginner's session on those days.)

 

Ukulele Jam provides a friendly, accessible and sociable learning environment every Thursday evening - we're all wanting to improve our playing but mostly have fun together each week.  Some of us have been playing a while but we have new people turn up most weeks to find out more (the first week is free) and we start off (6.00pm) taking it easy for absolute beginners!   We also run a weekly beginner's session on Friday mornings at Hawkes House, 9.30am (one hour / £5) - please let us know if you are interested!

 

Ukulele Jam also goes out regularly to perform at a variety of locations and events (see the 'Gigs' page) including Care Homes, Retiremement Homes, Business Parties and pretty much anywhere we are invited!
